Canada's RCMP is Freezing Bank Accounts

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said in an announcement that names of both individuals and entities  have been shared by the RCMP with financial institutions and accounts have been frozen and as well as investigation of crypto wallets. 

Both journalists and politicians are assisting in identifying anyone who has donated to the Freedom Convoy after hackers illegally released GiveSendGo donor data on Monday. True North has gathered information on the most prominent figures who have engaged in sharing the illegal data contents, but the names have been removed.

Gerald Butts, the former principal secretary to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was among those who are linked to illegally obtaining the information of all entities who have donated more than $100 to the trucker’s convoy. Another major political member Matthieu Fleury, the Ottawa city councilor, is also putting out personal information of donors on his own Twitter account. 

Journalists including CTV anchor Graham Richardson, radio host Dean Blundell, Ottawa Citizen editor Blair Cawford, and the Frank Magazine Atlantic main account have all tweeted out personal donors to the truckers convoy after the leak from GiveSendGo. Anyone that is tied to the trucking convoy will have the potential to have a frozen bank account and lose access to their funds.
