In a notable event, Donald Trump became the first former U.S. president to make a Bitcoin payment.

Trump visited PubKey, a Bitcoin-themed bar in Greenwich Village, New York City, on National Cheeseburger Day.

The former president purchased cheeseburgers from the bar, which was crowded with Bitcoiners.

Trump described it as a "great place" and encouraged voters from the Bitcoin community to participate in the upcoming election.

He also addressed the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), suggesting that under his administration, the Bitcoin industry would be treated fairly.

Regarding his Bitcoin payment, Trump said the process was smooth and efficient, stating it went through “quickly and beautifully.”

Following the transaction, Trump, joined by one of the bar’s owners, Thomas Pacchia, interacted with the attendees.

Pacchia described the transaction as significant and expressed excitement about Trump’s visit, noting the importance of the interaction between the former president and the Bitcoin community.
