The company’s cumulative Bitcoin cost basis is now ¥225.818 billion, with an average purchase price of ¥14.52 million.
The acquisition supports Metaplanet’s new “555 Million Plan,” targeting 210,000 Bitcoin or 1% of Bitcoin’s total supply, by the end of 2027. This replaces the earlier “21 Million Plan.”
Metaplanet reported a 15.1% quarter-to-date increase in its BTC Yield, a proprietary metric representing Bitcoin per fully diluted share.
This resulted in a Bitcoin Gain of 2,017 and a corresponding value gain of ¥31.78 billion.
To fund its strategy, the company issued 8.1 million shares between July 1st and July 4th, 2025, through the 20th Series of Stock Acquisition Rights.
Proceeds were used to partially repay a ¥30 billion bond issued to EVO FUND.
“On July 4th, 2025, the Company executed a partial early redemption of JPY 6 billion from its 19th Series of Ordinary Bonds, originally issued on June 30th, 2025, in the aggregate amount of JPY 30 billion to EVO FUND,” stated the disclosure document.
Metaplanet also reported that on June 24th, 54 million shares were delivered through the exercise of 540,000 units of the 20th Series Stock Acquisition Rights, 29.19% of the 1.85 million rights issued.
The 8.99% exercise ratio remained within Tokyo Stock Exchange limits, with the initial exercise price set at ¥1,388.
