Semler Scientific has announced the acquisition of 303 Bitcoin, increasing its total holdings to 1,873 Bitcoin.

Between November 25th and December 4th, 2024, the company purchased 303 Bitcoin for $29.3 million, at an average price of $96,779 per Bitcoin, including fees. 

As of December 4th, Semler Scientific holds a total of 1,873 Bitcoin, acquired at a cumulative cost of $147.1 million, with an average purchase price of $78,553 per Bitcoin.

Semler Scientific increased the size of its ATM equity offering to $100 million on November 25th, 2024. 

To date, the company has raised approximately $79.8 million in gross proceeds from the offering, which has been partially allocated to support its Bitcoin acquisition strategy.

The company reported a Bitcoin (BTC) Yield of 54.7% from October 1st to December 4th, 2024, and a cumulative BTC Yield of 78.7% since July 1st, 2024, when it adopted its Bitcoin treasury strategy. 

BTC Yield is a non-standard financial metric that Semler Scientific uses internally to assess the performance of its Bitcoin-related activities.

Eric Semler, Chairman of Semler Scientific, commented on the BTC Yield results and announced that the company has requested approval for options trading eligibility. This move aligns with its broader financial and market strategy.

Semler's announcement aligns with a wave of corporate Bitcoin purchases, including recent disclosures from Marathon Digital, Metaplanet, and MicroStrategy.

Following the news, Semler’s stock has shown resilience, reflecting investor confidence in its treasury strategy. Since the company began its Bitcoin acquisitions, its stock has gained approximately 33%.
