The purchase, disclosed in a May 23rd SEC filing, was made between May 13th and May 22nd at an average price of $109,801 per coin, inclusive of fees.
The transaction was financed through the company’s ongoing at-the-market equity offering, which has raised $114.8 million since its April 2025 launch.
So far, Semler has issued over 3 million shares under the $500 million program.
Chairman Eric Semler highlighted the company’s growing Bitcoin yield, noting a 25.8% year-to-date increase—a metric tracking the percentage change in Bitcoin per diluted share, now widely used by Bitcoin-holding public firms.
At current prices, Semler’s Bitcoin holdings are valued around $474.4 million. The company also maintains a public-facing Bitcoin Dashboard to disclose holdings and performance in line with its commitment to regulatory transparency.
This latest acquisition aligns with a broader trend in 2025, as dozens of publicly traded companies have announced Bitcoin accumulation strategies, many funded through equity issuance.
Semler’s approach mirrors those of larger firms like Strategy, which also recently increased its Bitcoin holdings through an equity-financed purchase.
