Corporate Bitcoin holder Strategy has reported its first Bitcoin acquisition following its recent rebrand from “MicroStrategy.”
According to a Form 8-K filing released on February 10th, the company purchased 7,633 Bitcoin at an average price of $97,255 per Bitcoin between February 3rd and February 9th, 2025.

The acquisition follows the company’s official name change to “Strategy” on February 5th, reflecting its continued focus on a Bitcoin-centered corporate treasury strategy.
Since its initial Bitcoin purchase in August 2020, Strategy has accumulated 478,740 Bitcoin, with an average acquisition price of $65,033 per Bitcoin.
The filing outlined Strategy’s Bitcoin yield, which measures the percentage change in the ratio of Bitcoin holdings to assumed diluted shares. Between January 1st and February 9th, 2025, the company’s Bitcoin yield was 4.1%.
On February 5th, Strategy reported a Bitcoin yield of 74.3% for 2024, a figure that was higher than anticipated for 2025.
After recording a $670-million net loss in Q4 2024, the company adjusted its Bitcoin yield target for 2025 to 15%.
Strategy also reported Bitcoin gains of approximately $1.8 billion from January 1st to February 9th, representing an 18% increase toward its $10 billion targeted gains for 2025.
In 2024, Strategy reported a Bitcoin gain of $140,538 per Bitcoin, totaling approximately $13.1 billion.
