Brazilian Bitcoin startup Bipa has successfully concluded its seed funding round, accruing R$8 million, or around $1.4 million.
New Form Capital and Hivemind Ventures are part of this funding round and will support Bipa's mission to simplify Bitcoin transactions for Brazilians and expand its customer base.
Established in 2020 by Luiz Parreira, Bipa aspires to foster Bitcoin adoption by eliminating obstacles while offering a user-friendly digital account that links to the instant payment networks of PIX (in Brazilian real) and Lightning (in Bitcoin).
The startup primarily targets individuals who find it challenging to buy and sell Bitcoin. As a result, Bipa aims to serve a wider audience seeking convenience and simplicity.
The acquired funds will aid Bipa's expansion in the market, attracting more users and facilitating the development of new business-to-consumer (B2C) products.
The aim is to draw individuals from outside the current Bitcoin ecosystem to Bipa, with an ambitious target of bringing over 15 million Brazilians into Bitcoin.
