Tether announced its support for the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) movement by donating $100,000 to the BTCPay Server Foundation.

Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, announced the company's donation to the BTCPay Server Foundation, emphasizing Tether's support for the open-source community and the potential impact of technology on the sector. 

The BTCPay Server Foundation is known for its development of open-source payment processing software, which is widely used by various merchants and businesses across the globe to accept Bitcoin and USDt payments on Liquid. 

The financial support from Tether is seen as an acknowledgment of the important role that open-source software plays in technological innovation and making advanced technologies more accessible.

Bitcoin Core Contributor and BTCPay Server founding member, R0ckstar Dev, expressed gratitude for Tether's recognition and financial support, highlighting the grant's contribution to their mission of facilitating Bitcoin acceptance without restrictions related to location, politics, or financial limitations.

Tether has expressed that this collaboration marks another step in its ongoing efforts to support and contribute to the open-source software community, reflecting the company's commitment to promoting a more inclusive and equitable digital future.
